What you'll need:
-
Any box that you want to cover. Keep
in mind that the smaller the box, the
fewer heads you'll have to cut out
- Stack of old magazines (something
with tons of pictures of people - department
store catalogues work well)
- scissors
- modge podge, or any clear-drying glue
clear acrylic sealant paint brush or
sponge
Instructions:
Go through the magazines and cut out
people's heads. This can be surprisingly
therapeutic. You might want to choose
a theme, such as celebrity heads. I
covered a shoe box and did women's heads
on the box, and men's heads on the lid
use the paintbrush/sponge to apply mod
podge/glue to a small area of your box
stick the pictures to the modge podge/glue
(duh) continue in this fashion until
the whole box is covered. It's probably
easiest to overlap the images. wait
until the modge podge/glue has dried,
then follow the directions on the sealant
to protect the images. Dried mod podge
might be a little tacky to the touch,
and the sealant will help with this.
