What you'll need:
-
Anything you want to use as a vase,
be it an old spaghetti sauce or pickle
jar. Pick something you like the shape
of
- Stack of old magazines or catalogues
(something with tons of pictures of
people, preferably close-ups)
- Scissors
- Mod podge, or any glue that dries
clear clear acrylic sealant paint brush
or sponge
Instructions:
Go through the magazines and cut out
people's eyes. (Yes, I know it sounds
like an audition for a serial killer
movie.) It's easier if you cut out a
rectangle shape that encompasses the
eyebrows and the bridge of the nose
as well. use the paintbrush/sponge to
apply mod podge/glue to a small area
of your vase stick the pictures to the
modge podge/glue (duh) continue in this
fashion until the whole vase is covered.
It's probably easiest to overlap the
images. wait until the modge podge/glue
has dried, then follow the directions
on the sealant to protect the images.
Dried mod podge might be a little tacky
to the touch, and the sealant will help
with this.
