Gift-Wrapping
Ideas - January 31st - Crafts

I love wrapping gifts. Maybe it's
my Type A personality shining through, but I enjoy
the precision of it. The folds, the corners, the
geometry.... But I hate store-bought gift-wrap.
I know it's selfish, but I want MY gifts to stand
out from the crowd, to be commented on, to be
the first to get opened...

Mini-Scrapbooks

This is an exercise in scrapbooking on the
run, since you're putting it together as things
are happening, rather than afterward. A great
idea for weekend road trips, because you can piece
it together when you stop for lunch, or in the
motel room at night...

Mehandi
Inspired Flower Pot - January 28th

What you'll need: terra cotta flower pot(s)
(I like to work with the small ones, say 3 or
4 inches in diameter) craft paint, any colour
(check the label to make sure it works on terra
cotta) small paint brush, or stippling brush rubber
mehandi design stencil, preferably self-adhesive...

Safety-Pin
Bracelet - January 27th - Crafts

What you'll need: approximately 45 safety
pins (I used silver-coloured ones. You can use
any length you like, all that changes is the number
of beads you will use.) approximately 275 seed
beads (based on the use of 3cm safety-pins) elastic
cord (not the flat stuff, the kind that looks
like spaghetti...
